THERE will be no elections in the upcoming Regional Council polls for the Nkurenkuru Constituency in the Kavango West Region, as Tenga Filipus Ndara of the SWAPO Party is the sole candidate and has therefore been declared duly elected.
The announcement was made by the Returning Officer for Nkurenkuru Constituency, Kawana Pankratiuse Muronga, who confirmed that, with only one candidate nominated, the electoral process is not required.
“Only one candidate has been nominated; therefore, there will be no election. I am pleased to announce that Mr. Tenga Filipus Ndara of the SWAPO Party is duly elected for the upcoming 26 November election,” Muronga said.
