Ruto Dares Opposition: “Stop Empty Talk, Tell Kenyans Your Plan for the Nation”
President William Ruto has called out opposition leaders, urging them to move beyond “empty rhetoric” and present concrete plans for Kenya’s future.
Speaking in Molo County on Monday, October 27, 2025, Ruto criticized politicians who, in his view, waste time on divisive politics instead of championing meaningful development. He said Molo and other regions had stagnated because of leaders who prioritize political drama over progress.
“We want those criticising the government to tell us their plans. They should stop going round with empty words criticising our plans, yet they are not saying what their plan for the country is,” he stated.
Ruto emphasized that Kenya’s transformation depends on visionary leadership focused on tangible results, not political noise.
“To change and transform this nation, we need visionary leaders and those with good plans. Kenya has lagged because most of our leaders are useless. They prefer engaging in retrogressive politics and non-issues such as Kasongo and wantam,” he added.

During the same event, the President praised National Assembly Finance Committee Chairperson Kimani Kuria for his instrumental role in advancing key government initiatives, including the Affordable Housing Program.
Ruto described Kuria as a courageous and dedicated leader who has helped push vital projects through Parliament despite public criticism.
“This is a brave man. He has really helped me in Parliament to facilitate important projects of the government. I must commend you, the people of Molo, for giving me such a brave young warrior,” Ruto remarked.
He concluded by reaffirming his administration’s commitment to driving Kenya toward economic transformation, adding that the nation’s progress depends on leaders who prioritize development over politics.
