JUBA – MTN South Sudan has announced plans to invest 400 million South Sudanese Pounds in a new promotion that will reward thousands of customers with weekly cash prizes. The initiative aims to appreciate loyal subscribers and enhance customer engagement nationwide.
Henry Njoroge, Chief Marketing Officer for MTN South Sudan, stated that the company will inject up to 400 million South Sudanese Pounds into the promotion, giving thousands of customers a chance to win weekly cash prizes.
Njoroge disclosed that the promotion will run for eight weeks, from October 20 to the first week of December, with 1,001 customers winning 400,000 South Sudanese Pounds each week through a nationwide draw.
“Across states and administrative areas, we are going to be running promotions where we will give more than 400 million South Sudanese Pounds which customers will be able to win,” said Njoroge on Monday during the press conference.
He explained that every single week, 1,001 customers will be winning 400,000 Pounds each, with draws taking place every Monday. Customers simply need to recharge with MTN airtime or MTN MoMo; if they recharge with MoMo, they will receive double entries.
Njoroge emphasised that MTN’s growth to four million customers is a collective achievement, made possible by the continued support of South Sudanese subscribers. He cited that MTN South Sudan will continue to improve services and expand digital access.
Njoroge revealed that MTN South Sudan has also launched “Hagi All Network,” which will enable customers to call any network in South Sudan, adding that the promotion is a way of giving back to subscribers.
He said subscribers are required to recharge at least 1,000 SSP worth of airtime weekly, either through MTN recharge cards or MTN MoMo. Additionally, customers who use MoMo to recharge will receive double entries, increasing their chances of winning.
“We have been announcing every new initiative over the last five days. The first announcement we made was to give our customers a 25 percent bonus on all charges for all data bundles purchased using MTN MoMo,” he said.
