
A cyclist, Wisdom Chisom who took off from Lagos on a bicycle, has arrived Nvosi, the country home of Abia State Governor, Alex Otti, after a six-day ride from Lagos.
Chisom, who left Lagos on Monday last week, arrived Abia on Saturday and headed to the Abia Governor’s house in Nvosi, Isiala Ngwa South LGA.
The rider who is a native of Nunya, Isuikwuato LGA of Abia, was introduced to Otti on Monday after the State’s weekly Executive Council meeting.
Explaining his decision, the Bicycle rider said he took the risk of riding on the long distance from Lagos to Abia State, to show his appreciation to Governor Otti for the 11.5-KM Nunya- Eluama road his administration is reconstructing in his village and his other projects in Abia.
He acknowledged that it was dangerous riding from Lagos to Abia State on Bicycle, considering the security and general road safety concern but explained he damned the risks in order to meet the Governor.
Receiving the rider in his home, the Abia State Governor said his priority was to improve the welfare of Abia people and to make them happy.
Otti who encouraged Wisdom Chisom to remain a good citizen of the state , said his attention was drawn to the development by the State’s Commissioner for Youth and Sports.
