A NAMIBIAN delegation led by the Minister of Defence and Veteran Affairs, Frans Kapofi, is attending the 26th Session of the Zambia–Namibia Joint Permanent Commission on Defence and Security.
Kapofi is leading the 52 Namibian delegates to the 26th Session of the Zambia–Namibia Joint Permanent Commission on Defence and Security, taking place in Lusaka, Republic of Zambia, from 20–23 October 2025.

Among the delegation are Lucia Ipumbu, Minister of Home Affairs, Immigration, Safety and Security, as well as senior officers and officials from the Ministry of Defence and Veteran Affairs; Ministry of Home Affairs, Immigration, Safety and Security; Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, Water and Land Reform; Ministry of Environment, Forestry and Tourism; Ministry of International Relations and Cooperation; Ministry of Finance and Public Enterprises; Ministry of Justice, Labour Relations and Employment Creation; the Namibia Central Intelligence Service; and the National Youth Service.
The Joint Permanent Commission meets annually on a rotational basis to deliberate on matters of mutual concern and interest in the areas of defence and security between the two sister countries. The 25th Session was hosted in Swakopmund, Namibia, in July 2024.
