THE Otjozondjupa Region, along with several northern areas, experienced light to moderate showers this week — and more rain is on the way, with forecasts predicting rainy weather across many regions from the north to the south this weekend.
Tsumeb and Ondangwa are among the northern areas that recently received light rainfall, while Otjiwarongo and Otavi in the Otjozondjupa Region also stood out as areas that experienced rainfall this week.

According to the Namibia Meteorological Services, further rainfall is expected in the Otjozondjupa Region as well as in some northern areas on Saturday. The northern regions likely to receive the most rain on Saturday are Kunene and Omusati.
These are not the only regions expected to see rainfall this weekend.
Several central and southern areas are also likely to experience thunderstorms this weekend. In fact, the Namibia Meteorological Services predicted rain showers for the Khomas, Omaheke, and Hardap regions on Saturday. Windhoek, in the Khomas Region, has already seen a week of cloudy skies and light drizzle — and heavier rain is expected to move in over the weekend.
