Kindiki: No One Can Defeat Ruto-Raila Alliance in 2027 Election

Deputy President Kithure Kindiki has dismissed politicians planning to challenge the current broad-based government in the 2027 General Election, saying their ambitions are far-fetched and unrealistic.
Speaking on Monday during a boda boda empowerment event at the Siaya KMTC grounds, Kindiki said the alliance between President William Ruto and Raila Odinga has demonstrated strong leadership and effective service delivery to Kenyans.
“We respect Raila Odinga and William Ruto, they are working together and are leading us. The future of Kenya is broad-based,” Kindiki said.
The Deputy President mocked new political aspirants for what he termed as political showmanship, claiming they have no chance of unseating the powerful Ruto–Odinga alliance.
“I see new political aspirants, they are showing us theatrics on how they will defeat Ruto and Raila Odinga. Is it even possible to defeat the combination of the two?” he posed.
Kindiki lauded the Ruto–Odinga alliance for pushing for massive growth in the Lake Victoria basin, citing that reforms under the government have revived the blue economy and transformed the lives of local fishermen.
He revealed that the government has obtained Ksh3.2 billion in grants to enhance beach management along Lake Victoria – an undertaking aimed at boosting fish farming, empowering coastal communities, and growing tourism in the area.
“The amount of development in Siaya has never happened since Kenya gained independence. This is the first government to invest in the blue economy to build the foundation to improve the lives of fish farmers with the support of Raila Odinga,” Kindiki stated.
He reiterated that the Ruto administration remains devoted to its ambitious nationwide development agenda, noting that fish producers in the country will soon reap even greater advantages.
Kindiki went on to insist that Kenya Kwanza’s performance on development could not be equalled, asserting that the opposition had no credible platform against which to call the government’s performance into question ahead of 2027.
