President Ruto Forecasts When Kenya Will Beome First-World Nation

President William Ruto has expressed confidence that Kenya will rise from a third-world to a first-world nation within the next 30 years.
Speaking on Sunday, Ruto noted that Kenya has remained in the developing category for far too long but affirmed that his administration is determined to change that reality through faith, unity, and hard work.
“I want to say this in church that by God’s grace we have been in the third world for far too long. We have had our fair share, and it is now time, by God’s grace, the efforts of our hands, the blessings of our plans, and the energy and unity of the people of Kenya, to move this country from a third world to a first world country in the next 30 years,” Ruto said.
The President made the remarks during the 70th anniversary celebration of the African Inland Church Ziwani, held at Starehe Boys Centre in Nairobi County.
He attended the event alongside First Lady Rachel Ruto, Interior CS Kipchumba Murkomen, PS Raymond Omollo, and Nairobi Governor Johnson Sakaja, among other leaders.
Ruto reiterated that his government has a clear and focused strategy to drive economic transformation and uplift the lives of Kenyans across the country.
The President said Kenya possesses the ideas, resources, and skilled workforce needed to realize its ambitious goal of becoming a first-world nation.
He expressed strong confidence in the country’s potential, saying he firmly believes the dream is within reach.
“We have what it takes, we have the ideas, the plan, the people, and the resources to take this country to a first world by 2055. I am persuaded beyond any reasonable doubt that we are going to move this country to a first world by 2055,” he added.
Ruto revealed that he has already engaged at least 80 percent of Members of Parliament to emphasize the importance of transforming Kenya from a third-world to a first-world nation.
He went further to state that he had also informed former Prime Minister Raila Odinga and KANU Chairman Gideon Moi about the same vision, stating categorically that this shared agenda remained his government’s guiding force.
The President said his government is prioritizing key sectors such as housing, healthcare, education, and agriculture – areas he believes will anchor economic growth and drive sustainable development.
The President also implored Kenyans to unite and have faith in the country’s potential, stating that the country’s transformation will be achieved through collaboration, hard work, and determination.
