BOTH police officers and members of the Okakukiipupu community on the outskirts of Oshakati are scratching their heads, bewildered by two mysterious incidents of animal cruelty committed by unknown suspects in less than two months.
According to the police, seven head of cattle were hacked and badly mutilated by unknown people who sneaked into an animal kraal in the dead of the night between Sunday and Monday.
The attackers specifically targeted the animals’ legs.
A similar incident was recorded in December last year, when eleven head of cattle were hacked in the same manner at the same kraal by equally unknown suspects.
No arrests have been effected yet.
