Rising artiste, Toby Mykel, has said he is aiming for the top of the music industry. In a statement shared with Sunday Scoop, he noted that he was working under “a long-term creative and commercial framework designed to build sustainable cultural relevance and global value within the African music industry”.
The statement added, “The unveiling introduces Toby Mykel as an artiste whose sound is rooted in African identity and contemporary storytelling, blending modern Afro-influences with indigenous expression. Industry observers say the approach positions him for long-term growth, scalability and cross-border appeal in an increasingly competitive global music ecosystem.”
It added that the project is anchored on a carefully structured release plan rather than a one-off debut. The artist’s forthcoming release cycle is expected to deliver a cohesive body of work that balances tradition with innovation, targeting both domestic and international audiences.
“This is not a random release. It is a structured creative journey. He represents authentic cultural expression with global intent. The focus is on building music that resonates in the present and remains relevant over time,” the statement read.
