The Marine Eco Foundation credited the milestone to the support of researchers, volunteers and members of the public who assisted in reporting and documenting dolphin activity on the water. Walvis Bay was highlighted as a key observation area, offering valuable insights into dolphin distribution and behaviour.
The foundation said it remains committed to collecting and sharing data on Namibia’s marine life to promote public awareness and appreciation of the country’s ocean environment. Looking ahead, the organisation expressed optimism for continued research and conservation success in 2026, benefiting both dolphins and whales along Namibia’s coastline.
