UPDATE: Florian Beukes from the Magistrates and Judges Association of Namibia has said that magistrates have ended their week-long strike and returned to work on Friday. The strike resulted from demands for increases in housing and car allowances. Beukes, however, added that a consensus has not been reached on the matter, and that negotiations will continue with the Minister of Justice and Labour Relations, Wise Immanuel.
