SSPDF leadership, under the overall command of Gen. Paul Nang Majok PhD, SSPDF Chief of Defence Forces ( CDF) applauses courageous and bold decisions taken by Lou-Nuer civilians for accepting the national army’s appeals to return to thier respective ancestral homes in Pathai and surrounding villages.

On 29//1/2026, several hundreds of Lou-Nuer civilians along with traditional chiefs thronged Pathai town centre where they were warmly received by senior SSPDF officers that included MG. Michael Makal Kuol and Dominic Deng.
Civilians decisions to return home were praised and applauded the very army generals who commanded troops in the decisive battle for control of Pathai town. The local populations were reassured of government’s determination to provide security as well as unhindered access to humanitarian services.
