CAIRO, Jan 24 (MENA) – President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi arrived Saturday, at the headquarters of the Police Academy in New Cairo to attend the celebration marking the 74th anniversary of Police Day, which falls on January 25 each year.
The president was received upon his arrival at the Academy by Minister of Interior Mahmoud Tawfik.
Egypt celebrates the 74th anniversary of Police Day on January 25, commemorating the Battle of Ismailia in 1952, in which 50 police officers were martyred and 80 others were wounded—an event that ignited the spark of the 1952 Revolution. (MENA)
