WHEN families nurture responsible children grounded in faith and values, the nation will stand stronger, and issues such as crime and corruption “will find no place among us,” said President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah at Engela, Ohangwena Region, where she attended a church service at the local parish of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Namibia (ELCIN) before addressing a SWAPO Party star rally in the area this afternoon.
Addressing the congregation, the President pointed out the vital partnership between the Church and Government in building a moral, just, and peaceful Namibia.

The President further reflected on the biblical story of Jesus feeding the multitude with five loaves of bread and two fish, drawing a metaphor of unity and shared responsibility. She said, “If we have good and faithful people, even the little we have as a nation can be enough for every Namibian.”
Although the service was led by the parish pastor, Reverend Johannes Kashihakumwa, the sermon was delivered by the former head of the Western Diocese, Emeritus Bishop Veikko Munyika.
Kashihakumwa thanked the Almighty for blessing Namibia with a president who is a Christian and who worships together with the people, not only in the city but also in the countryside.
His wish is that she may lead the nation with justice and peace.
