
Niger State Governor, Mohammed Umaru Bago, has approved the constitution of the Niger State Universal Basic Education Board, NSUBEB, and the Niger State Secondary Education Board with a charge to ensure transparency, prudent management of resources, and effective implementation of education policies.
The approval, geared towards improving teaching and learning outcomes across the state, was contained in a release by the Secretary to the Niger State Government, Alh. Abubakar Usman.
Leadership of the newly constituted NSUBEB include Ibrahim A Liman as chairman, Monday Emigi member I, Mohammed Mudi as member II, Samuel Makotso as member III, Malik Madaki Bosso as member IV, Mohammed Mamman Auna member V and Dr Aminu Wushishi as the secretary of the board.
Those approved to head the new Secondary Education Board are Abdulkadir Isah Nafuntuwa to serve as the chairman, while Mohammed Madami Evuti as member I, Salihu Danladi member II, Yusuf Yakubu Salka as member III, Dr Yinti Usman member IV, Abubakar Garo as member V, and Dr Ahmed Egbako as the secretary.
Bago congratulated the appointees and charged them to bring their wealth of experience, professionalism, and commitment to bear in advancing the state government’s vision of transforming the education sector under the New Niger agenda.
He explained, ” the appointments are in continuation of the ongoing reforms of the farmer governor to reposition and strengthen the education sector for improved efficiency, accountability, and service delivery”
The governor also charged them to ensure transparency, prudent management of resources, and effective implementation of education policies geared towards improving teaching and learning outcomes across the state.
Bago reaffirmed his administration’s determination to restore the pride of the education sector as a foundation for sustainable human capital development in the state.
