Eleven people – including three children – have been killed, and 14 others were injured during a shooting at an illegal tavern inside a hostel in Saulsville, in Atteridgeville, Pretoria.
The shooting took place during the early hours of Saturday morning.
According to police spokesperson Brigadier Athlenda Mathe, the injured survivors have been hospitalised while authorities search for three unidentified suspects.
“Among the deceased are three minors: 3-year-old and 12-year-old boys, and a 16-year-old female. The remaining victims are adults,” she said.
