Addressing a packed meeting in Karasburg, Dr. Mubita emphasised the importance of effective information sharing by elected leaders. He said his visit was not for political speeches but to listen to the concerns of veterans and provide feedback on issues affecting their livelihoods.
“I want to inform you that the Ministry has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Namibian Broadcasting Corporation to provide radio platforms specifically dedicated to disseminating current and relevant information to veterans,” Dr. Mubita said.
He added that in the //Kharas Region, programmes will be broadcast in Khoekhoegowab — a language understood by the majority of residents — to ensure that messages from the Ministry reach veterans accurately and effectively. Similar initiatives will be implemented in other regions and languages across the country.
A communication specialist by profession, Dr. Mubita reaffirmed the government’s commitment to addressing the needs of veterans through continuous dialogue and engagement.
