MORE thundershowers are expected in various northern, central and southern areas today.
The Namibia Meteorological Services has highlighted the central-northern, north-eastern, Otjozondjupa, Omaheke, Khomas, Hardap and //Kharas regions as some of the areas likely to experience thundershowers today. These showers are expected to be isolated across the affected regions.
Several places in these regions have already seen significant rainfall, with the Hardap Region particularly hard hit after a recent thunderstorm destroyed several homes and displaced hundreds of residents.
Various places beyond the Hardap Region have also recently experienced light to heavy showers. These include Leonardville and Gobabis in the Omaheke Region, as well as Tsumeb in the Oshikoto Region, Otavi in the Otjozondjupa Region and Stampriet in the Hardap Region.
