THE Ministry of Education, Innovation, Youth, Sports, Arts and Culture (MEIYSAC) has launched a week-long training programme for 64 young people from the Omusati Region, aimed at building their capacity under the Namibia Youth Credit Scheme (NYCS). The training, running from 8–15 December 2025 in Oshakati, focuses on enhancing financial literacy and promoting sustainable youth entrepreneurship.
The NYCS equips participants with practical skills in credit management, responsible borrowing, business planning, and accessing opportunities through the scheme to support income-generating activities. The initiative is designed to empower young people to make informed financial decisions while strengthening their contribution to local and national economic development.
Through programmes like the NYCS, MEIYSAC continues to advance youth empowerment, foster innovation, and promote financial inclusion across Namibia.
