IITHÈTE Ndeyanale Erastus, a 32-year-old resident of Ekuku in Oshakati, has appeared in court accused of fraud, forgery, and uttering following a failed loan application at a local cash loan establishment.
It is alleged that Erastus went to Express Credit at Oshana Mall, Ongwediva, to apply for a N$20,000 loan, but submitted an ID card that was not his and a fake bank statement.
The falseness of the bank statement was confirmed when the loan providers enquired with the bank.
The police were swiftly notified, and Erastus was arrested when he was called to sign his “approval letter.”
