ONGWEDIVA resident Toivo Potgieter Simeon “Kapoti” was on Thursday ordered by the Windhoek Magistrate’s Court to desist and stop making any further social media claims about northern businessman Benjamin Hauwanga.
Kapoti was arrested in the Oshana Region last month and made his first court appearance at Oshakati before he was transferred to Windhoek, where he appeared in court on Thursday.
The case follows a series of social media postings targeting northern businessman Benjamin Hauwanga, well known as BH.
Magistrate Monica Andjaba postponed the case to 26 February 2026, and the accused was granted bail of N$2,000 on condition he desist from and stop posting anything on social media platforms pertaining to Benjamin Hauwanga, and that he refrain from contacting the complainant, whether directly or indirectly.
