A provocative song, believed to have been composed and disseminated by individuals from the neighboring Bor community, has recently surfaced on social media , in it the composer praises a few Twic East leadership they believe to be in support of Greater Bor agenda, while unfairly targeting and dissing Hon. Lt Gen. Biar Mading Biar , Hon. Maj. Gen Philip Aguer Panyang and Dr Majak d Agoot Atem , simply because they ,according to the song, hold views that oppose Greater Bor agenda.
While it is natural for this song to stir emotions, we must not let it undermine the peace. Unity, and respect that our community has worked so hard to preserves . Twic East has always been defined by wisdom , dignity, and composure the very values that remind us to rise above attempts to create rifts among people who share one history . destiny, and future . our connection with Duk and Bor is deeper than any social media narrative, a bond rooted in blood culture , and shared experiences and values . Therefore, choosing peace in the face of provocation is strength .
For this reason , I urge every son and daughter of Twic East . whether at home or abroad, to refrain from composing retaliatory songs, making inflammatory comments, or advancing social media confrontation, We must resist the temptation to respond in kind and instead unphold the values that define us in such circumstances maturity restraint and constructive dialogue .
