The South African Weather Service (SAWS) has issued a warning of a heatwave expected across parts of the Eastern Cape, while very hot conditions are expected in parts of the Northern Cape.
Light rain and isolated showers and thundershowers have been forecast in parts of Gauteng, Mpumalanga, Limpopo, North West, Free State, KwaZulu-Natal, and Eastern Cape.
Advisories
A heatwave with persistently high temperatures is expected in parts of the Eastern Cape, including in the Sarah Baartman, Chris Hani, Joe Gqabi, Alfred Nzo, OR Tambo and Amathole district municipalities. These conditions are expected to last until Thursday, 29 January.
