Monrovia – Africa Global Logistics (AGL), a leading transport and logistics operator across the continent, has launched WeGoAfrica, an integrated logistics and financing solution aimed at boosting the growth and competitiveness of African small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).
The launch comes as intra-African trade continues to expand under the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA), even as many local businesses remain constrained by logistical bottlenecks and limited access to finance—key obstacles preventing SMEs from scaling beyond domestic markets.
AGL says WeGoAfrica is designed to respond directly to the realities faced by African SMEs, including complex supply chains, burdensome administrative processes, high logistics and digital costs, and restricted financing options. These challenges persist despite SMEs accounting for more than 90 percent of businesses on the continent and serving as the backbone of job creation and economic growth.
The WeGoAfrica platform is anchored on six strategic pillars intended to simplify trade, lower costs, and improve market access.
They include One Stop Ship – a digital one-stop platform providing online quotations, shipment consolidation, route optimization, and real-time cargo tracking; Trust Every Mile – dependable end-to-end delivery services, from first mile to last mile, including access to hard-to-reach areas through adapted multimodal transport systems; Warehousing Without Barriers – shared, flexible, and affordable warehousing solutions that reduce capital investment for SMEs; DocuBridge – streamlined administrative and documentation processes to enhance transparency and operational efficiency; My Log’Coach – tailored advisory and support services delivered by experienced logistics professionals; and CashBoost – a secure payment and financing solution developed in partnership with SafeTrade, enabling easier access to financial resources.
Speaking on the financing component, Guy Mountonga, Co-Founder of SafeTrade101, said the initiative bridges a critical gap for African entrepreneurs.
“Safe Trade is building, together with AGL, an ecosystem where logistics and finance complement each other to effectively support the growth of African SMEs,” Mountonga noted.
AGL says WeGoAfrica reflects its broader strategy of positioning logistics as a catalyst for inclusive and sustainable economic development across Africa. By leveraging its pan-African footprint, operational expertise, and digital innovation, the company aims to deliver practical, immediately usable solutions to local businesses.
AGL Chief Commercial Officer Gregory Risterucci emphasized the company’s commitment to SME-led growth.
“At AGL, we believe the growth of SMEs is essential for the sustainable development of the continent. With WeGoAfrica, we want to offer simple, reliable, and accessible solutions to help them overcome logistical barriers and accelerate their expansion,” Risterucci said.
Through WeGoAfrica, AGL says it is reinforcing its role in Africa’s economic transformation by equipping entrepreneurs with the logistics and financing tools needed to compete, grow, and succeed in regional and global markets.
