The Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA) has issued a weather alert for Alexandria and other Egyptian cities for Thursday.
The forecast warns of a significant weather phenomenon: dense fog lasting seven consecutive hours, accompanied by a biting cold wave and chilly winds.
The EMA stated that Thursday’s primary concern is dense mist and fog. Visibility will be significantly reduced on agricultural roads and highways starting 10 am.
Additionally, temperatures will continue to steadily decline. Forecasters expect intermittent rainfall along the North Coast and Northern Delta. Low-level clouds will likely persist, while wind activity will pick up across the North Coast and Upper Egypt.
Conditions at sea will be hazardous, particularly along the Mediterranean coast. Wind speeds are expected to reach between 50 and 60 km/h, with wave heights ranging from 1.5 to 2 meters, causing disruptions to maritime navigation.
