Former Super Eagles coach, Sunday Oliseh has singled out three Nigerian players for special praise amid the ongoing 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, AFCON, tournament in Morocco.
Speaking on the Global Football Insights podcast, Oliseh said Super Eagles midfielder Alex Iwobi is running the show for Eric Chelle’s side, while the likes of captain Wilfred Ndidi and midfielders Frank Onyeka are eating up everything in the midfield.
“What Ndidi, Onyeka and Iwobi have been doing in the midfield in this tournament, forget it,” Oliseh said.
“It’s been wonderful. Ndidi and Onyeka are eating everything up in the midfield, while Iwobi has been running the show.”
This comes as Nigeria prepares to take on Morocco in the AFCON semi-final tie on Wednesday night.
The winner of the encounter will progress to the AFCON final, which will take place this weekend
