Okahandja and surrounding areas in the Otjozondjupa Region have also recently seen light showers on Tuesday. A number of other places in the Otjozondjupa Region, such as Otjiwarongo, Grootfontein and Otavi, have also experienced consistent showers this week.
Light rainfall has also been recorded in several central areas this week, including Windhoek in the Khomas Region and Farm Godeis near the capital.
Meanwhile, the southern parts of the country, which have been in the grip of an intense heatwave since Monday, can expect some relief on Thursday. Southern towns such as Noordoewer and Keetmanshoop in the //Kharas Region, where temperatures rose to nearly 40°C earlier this week, are expected to see maximum temperatures of no more than 34°C tomorrow.
