THE Central Procurement Board of Namibia (CPBN) and the United Nations Development Programme in Namibia (UNDP Namibia) have agreed to work together to assess the Financial Management and Transparency of the Procurement System managed by the CPBN.
This collaboration was discussed in a recent meeting between the CPBN’s management, led by Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Idi Itope, and representatives from the UNDP. The UNDP delegation included Dr. Christian Shingiro, Deputy Resident Representative and Chair of the Steering Committee for the EU-Funded Good Governance Project, as well as Dr. Vladimir D. Momcilovic, an expert in Good Governance and Anti-Corruption.
According to the CPBN, the meeting focused on a joint initiative to review the Financial Management and Transparency of the Procurement System overseen by the CPBN. The Board highlighted that this partnership represents a significant step towards enhancing procurement integrity and strengthening institutional frameworks.
“This collaboration reaffirms CPBN’s ongoing commitment to good corporate governance, accountability, and continuous institutional improvement. CPBN looks forward to working closely with UNDP as we collectively advance toward a more effective, trusted, and integrity-driven public procurement environment,” CPBN added.
