THE City of Windhoek has urged residents experiencing discoloured water at their homes to refrain from consumption.
According to the City of Windhoek, the discolouration is due to a reservoir cleaning exercise currently underway. This has affected the water supply in certain areas of the city, namely Pionierspark, Hochland Park, Old Academia, and Rocky Crest.
The City of Windhoek therefore urges residents to avoid consuming the water until it clears.
“We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your understanding as we work to maintain the quality and reliability of our water supply,” the City of Windhoek added.
