THE Minister of International Relations and Trade, Selma Ashipala-Musavyi, on Saturday visited a potters’ cooperative in Onenongo village on the outskirts of Oshakati, where local women engage in the manufacturing of clay pots.

The potters’ cooperative has been receiving government support over the years, including the construction and upkeep of a facility where they sell their products.
The Minister, who was accompanied by regional governor Hofni Iipinge, thanked the women for their initiative and called on other women to emulate the cooperative, as it is crucial to grow the manufacturing industries in the country to benefit from development and trade instruments such as the African Continental Free Trade Area Agreement.
