“I’ll Never Join the Maskio Party”: Wamuchomba Launches Fierce Attack on Gachagua and DCP
Githunguri MP Gathoni Wamuchomba has once again taken aim at former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua and his Democracy for Citizens Party (DCP), firmly declaring she will never join the outfit.
In a fiery social media post on Tuesday, November 4, 2025, Wamuchomba mocked DCP’s symbol – a hand cupping an ear – calling it the “Maskio Party.” She accused its members of constantly attacking Mt Kenya leaders who refuse to align politically with them, branding such leaders as “moles” and “betrayers.”
Reflecting on the aftermath of the 2022 elections, Wamuchomba reminded Kenyans that former President Uhuru Kenyatta had cautioned Mt Kenya residents against electing William Ruto and Rigathi Gachagua. She claimed that Uhuru’s warning has come true, citing “high taxes, collapsing businesses, demolished homes, reduced tea bonuses, and lost young lives” as consequences of misplaced trust.
“The Emotional Battalion is at it again, abusing everyone who is NOT associating with the Maskio party. Politics of emotion is self-destructive. In 2022, Uhuru told us not to follow THEM. We told HIM ‘Maliza uende.’ He told us ‘Mtaregret.’ We said ‘hatukuli barabara.’ See now,” Wamuchomba wrote.
She accused Gachagua of focusing on petty insults, including calling Kiambaa MP John Kawanjiku a “Tugege”, instead of fighting for tea reforms and Mt Kenya’s economic revival.
Reaffirming her stand, Wamuchomba declared she would never support leaders “with blood on their hands” or join DCP “blindly and through intimidation.” She warned that the party risks embracing divisive figures who once pushed the “dynasty” narrative against Uhuru Kenyatta.
“When i tell you the Truth , you call me a Mole and a betrayer. Good morning From the mole ![]()
I Will tell you the unpopular truth, I will Not support a murderer, and I have been consistent, but I will not Join maskio party blindly and through intimidations. I have a feeling “they” shall end up with the same characters who told us that Uhuru is dynasty ~those who have the blood of our sons in their hands.” She added.
Wamuchomba, who once supported Gachagua before his impeachment, appears to be aligning with former Interior CS Fred Matiang’i. She urged Mt Kenya leaders to stop personal attacks and unite under the “Wantam” banner, insisting that “insulting and demeaning women does not win elections; it only deepens divisions.”
