Galatasaray striker, Victor Osimhen, is set to make history on Tuesday night, when they play Monaco in the Champions League group phase.
Osimhen has featured in three of their five Champions League fixtures, scoring six goals – the highest in the competition so far this season.
The Turkish champions have won all three matches he has played in and lost both matches he missed through injury.
Following his brace against Bodo/Glimt, Osimhen now holds Galatasaray’s European consecutive goalscoring record, stretching the streak to seven games.
The 26-year-old is also the Nigerian footballer with the most goals in the UEFA Champions League, having broken Obafemi Martins’ record against Liverpool.
Against Monaco, Osimhen could surpass Shabani Nonda and Milan Baros, with 12 goals each in Europe.
